<h2>What is a Good Standing Certificate?</h2>
<p>A Good Standing Certificate (GSC) differs from other certificates issued by fellowships and non-regulating organizations because it is issued by a regulatory body. Quoting the Dubai Health Authority’s (DHA) <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.dha.gov.ae/Documents/HRD/HEALTH%20LICENSING%20DEPARTMENT%20USER%20GUIDES.PDF" target="_blank">Sheryan User Guide</a>, a GSC is a “certificate showing evidence that the healthcare professional is competent to practice the profession, has not been found guilty of unprofessional conduct, and that there are no pending or previous disciplinary orders or criminal proceedings against the healthcare professional. Must be issued by the same licensing authority of the healthcare professional registration/ license.”</p>
<h2>What are the requirements to get a GSC from Sheryan?</h2>
<p>To get your Good Standing Certificate from Sheryan, you need to have an active DHA professional healthcare license for at least three months. You should not have any pending investigations, a revoked or suspended license, and there must be no derogatory records against your registration to practice. Any outstanding fines you may have must be paid before you can apply for a GSC from Sheryan online.</p>
<p>In addition, you need to have an existing Sheryan username and password, and your passport details must be valid and updated on their system. If you are employed by a government healthcare facility, you also need to <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://services.dha.gov.ae/sheryan/wps/portal/home/services-professional/service-description?scode=GSC&CATALOGUE_TYPE=PROFESSIONAL" target="_blank">submit your End of Service letter</a> with your online application.</p>

<p>Your application will remain in draft form until your payment is made and received. To make sure that your application is completed, look for your Application Reference Number, and take note of it. If your application was submitted successfully, you will find your Application Reference Number on your ‘My Applications’ page. If your application is in ‘draft’, it will stay in the system for three months, after which it is deleted.</p>
<h2>Payments and Timeline</h2>
<p>After you pay an application fee of approximately AED500 (there will be a ‘Knowledge and Innovation’ fee applied upon checkout), your Good Standing Certificate from Sheryan processing will start. The average processing time is five business days. You can check the status of your application on the ‘My Applications’ page of your Sheryan account. Click on the arrow on the right side of your corresponding Application Reference Number to view the progress.</p>

<p>Once successful, your GSC application will show the status ‘Issued’. The DHA will email the requesting party your GSC. To save a copy of your GSC, click on the arrow on the right side of the screen, click ‘View Certificate’ and save it to your computer or USB thumb drive. Congratulations!</p>
