<h2>Restrictions Eased in the Philippines and India</h2> <p>Beginning 1st June, both the Philippines and India eased the restrictions that it had placed on the citizenry to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Although both countries have yet to fully allow the operation of international passenger flights, some exceptions are allowed.</p> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" width="999" height="666" src="" alt="COVID-19 Restrictions Philippines India" class="wp-image-10631" title="COVID-19 Restrictions Philippines India" srcset=" 999w, 300w, 768w" sizes="(max-width: 999px) 100vw, 999px" /></figure> <h3>India’s Exit Restrictions</h3> <p>The <a href="" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Indian government</a> is now allowing flights out of the country for Indian citizens who hold at least a 1-year visa to the destination country. Green Card holders and Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) card holders are also allowed to travel. Citizens of the destination countries, or those who have been stranded in India, are now allowed to leave the country.</p> <p>For those qualified to travel, you would need to apply with the <a href="" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA)</a> in order to exit the country. Alternatively, you can also apply with any agency assigned by MoCA for this, per the Bureau of Immigration advisory.</p> <h3>Philippine’s Exit Restrictions</h3> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" width="961" height="666" src="" alt="COVID-19 Restrictions Philippines India" class="wp-image-10633" title="COVID-19 Restrictions Philippines India" srcset=" 961w, 300w, 768w" sizes="(max-width: 961px) 100vw, 961px" /></figure> <p>According to the Philippine <a href=",-PUBLIC%20ADVISORIES%20ON&amp;text=%2D%20All%20Overseas%20Filipino%20Workers%20(OFWs,subject%20to%20availability%20of%20flights.&amp;text=%2D%20No%20Filipino%20tourists%20shall%20be,the%20country%20at%20any%20time." target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)</a>, all overseas Filipino workers (OFW) and <em>balikbayans</em> are allowed to leave the country at any time. Proof of their international travel itinerary with the departure schedule should be presented to authorities.
