Team Gives Back to the Community

No man is an island, and the same can be said for an organization. A company cannot be driven solely by profit, it has to bear in mind its impact on the community as well. In line with The DataFlow Groups’ Corporate Social Responsibility drives, the team gives back to the community and took part in the Happy Feet Project of the Manila office employees.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

The Manila office, spearheaded by the Country Manager Michelle Ibarra, has always made sure that our office life is fun and that there is a work-life balance. team gives back to the community is a culture and our Corporate Mission of protecting communities is not only reflected in our daily work, but also in our CSR initiatives.

“As an organization, our duty is not only to our customers, clients, stakeholders, and employees; we also want to give back to the community”
Michelle Ibarra, DataFlow Manila Country Manager

Happy Feet Project

It’s very easy to just give charity, but that is not what we wanted. We wanted to make sure that our employees were engaged in the happiness of giving back. The Happy Feet Project was conceptualized by a core group of people which included several team members. Our own Nikki Lim was instrumental in identifying Sitio Cataquiz, a neighborhood in San Pedro, Laguna – where the majority of families are from the underprivileged sector, as our beneficiary site.

Employee-led initiative

The Happy Feet Project is fully-funded by donations from our Manila office employees. Several fun activities were held in the office to collect enough funds to buy slippers for the child beneficiaries. There were auctions, local delicacies sold, garage sales on-site, and even personal massage belts were rented out! The fund-drives were made possible due to the culture of giving that is promoted within the DataFlow Group and in In the end, we far exceeded the target budget! Aside from slippers, the excess funds collected were used to buy groceries for the families and snacks were given out during the program.

If you have not signed up to yet, sign up now!
