The Document Verification Process Explained

There are a lot of ways that you can verify a document. It all depends on what it will be used for. In industries where lives are at stake, it makes sense to scrutinize a documents’ origin via the highest standards of attestation. There is nothing more stringent than that of Primary Source Verification. It is not just a simple matter of calling up the organization that issued the document. Thankfully, the process is a lot more complex than that.

Documents

Submit that Letter of Authorization.

When you submit a document to for verification, we ask you to provide us with some standard personal information. This will be compared to the document that you sent in, and the information, of course, has to match. Time and again, we reiterate the need for the submitted document to be the clearest possible copy that you can send. The document should be whole with no part cut off or obscured. Lastly, the most important document in the verifications process is your agreement for us to proceed with the verification. This document is what we call the Letter of Authorization (LOA). Without the LOA, we cannot legally inquire into the origins of your credentials.

Insufficient or Incorrect Information

The different bundles.

There are times where the verification process will hit a snag which could have been easily prevented. For example, you have paid for a Nurses Bundle that included your Educational Qualification, your License to practice, Certificates of Employment (COE), and a Certificate of Good Standing; but have only submitted your COE and license. This means that we need to contact you to chase up the outstanding documents – after all, you’ve paid for their verification. Make sure that all your documents are complete and that your contact information is updated. Oh, and make sure you’ve provided an email address that you check regularly!

Methods

First things first, when our associates receive your case, they will take a look at the full name of the Issuing Authority of the document. In the case of an educational qualification document, it’s the name of your university or college. This will then be entered into our database for double-checking if it is included as a “Diploma Mill.” We call, we fax, we write, we email, and we even visit the organization to obtain our verification.

Quality

We make sure that our TrueProofs uphold to the highest quality that the DataFlow Group has upheld since 2006.
