Why You Should Choose To Work In Dubai
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Almost everybody in the civilized world has heard of Dubai. And I bet that you have less than six degrees of separation from somebody who works in the emirate. If you’re thinking of working abroad, then consider working here. Why should you choose to work in Dubai? </span></p> <h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">Money, money, money</span></h2> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">With lower oil prices worldwide, you will be pleasantly surprised that the UAE economy is still </span><a href="https://www.arabianbusiness.com/politics-economics/399926-uae-economic-growth-set-to-accelerate-in-2018-2019-icaew" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">expected to grow</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. That’s because the vision of their leaders went beyond oil &#8211; they have </span><a href="https://www.investopedia.com/articles/investing/111014/dubai-growth-through-diversification.asp" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">diversified</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. Business is booming and they are still hiring people. What’s more, Dubai provides one of the most </span><a href="http://gulfbusiness.com/gulf-business-salary-survey-2018/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">competitive salary packages</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in the Gulf Cooperation Council region. </span></p> <h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">Easy peasy</span></h2> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You don’t need to go through the wringer just to </span><a href="https://www.dubai.com/visa-requirements/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">get a visa going to Dubai</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, unlike in other First-world countries. You can opt to visit the emirate as a tourist first to dip your toes in the water, so to speak. If you gain employment there, your employer is legally obliged to supply you with a visa. Getting around the city is not bad, either. Most of the people you encounter will most likely speak English. When I was in Dubai, what was funny is that I could speak to cashiers and people in the streets in Filipino as we were well represented there. </span></p> <h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">Culture and events</span></h2> <figure class="wp-block-image alignnone size-large wp-image-5303 size-full"><img decoding="async" loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://production-prod-trueprofile-blogassets-origin.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/uploads/2021/03/pexels-photo-1040795-1024x576.jpg" alt="Why You Should Choose To Work In Dubai" class="wp-image-10047" title="Why You Should Choose To Work In Dubai" srcset="https://production-prod-trueprofile-blogassets-origin.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/uploads/2021/03/pexels-photo-1040795-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://production-prod-trueprofile-blogassets-origin.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/uploads/2021/03/pexels-photo-1040795-300x169.jpg 300w, https://production-prod-trueprofile-blogassets-origin.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/uploads/2021/03/pexels-photo-1040795-768x432.jpg 768w, https://production-prod-trueprofile-blogassets-origin.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/uploads/2021/03/pexels-photo-1040795-1200x675.jpg 1200w, https://production-prod-trueprofile-blogassets-origin.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/uploads/2021/03/pexels-photo-1040795.jpg 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Did you know that there are beaches in Dubai?</figcaption></figure> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Some people will say that Dubai is overrated and does not have a culture of its own. </span><a href="https://blog.trueprofile.io/dubai-day-trip-itinerary/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Au contraire</span></i></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, I say. If you’re not into history, you can check out the latest concerts from world-renowned artists, theatre productions, and whatever’s happening on social media &#8211; check #Dubai. “Nothing to do” is a term that&nbsp;you</span>&nbsp;will not use here.</p> <h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">Community and religion</span></h2> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Another aspect of Dubai society is its migrant workers. They are leaving their mark in the city when they try to bring back to Dubai a flavor of their home. It’s easy to associate Dubai food with East Asian cuisine because of the proliferation of Indian dishes in restaurants. You will not feel like a stranger here when you see a bit of home in the streets. As for religion, people are very welcoming and tolerant of others. </span><a href="http://www.dubai.ae/en/Lists/Articles/DispForm.aspx?ID=70&amp;category=citizens" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Anti-discrimination</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> has even been made into a law by the UAE President himself, so you need not fear intolerance. Dubai truly is a city that you can make your home.</span></p> <h4><strong>If you have not already signed up to TrueProfile.io, sign up now!</strong></h4> <div class="is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons"> <div class="wp-block-button"><a class="wp-block-button__link has-text-color has-background" href="https://sso.trueprofile.io/register" style="border-radius:50px;background-color:#00497a;color:#f5f5f5" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sign up</a></div> </div>
